Most of the passive fire work on this site is not installation. It is keeping an existing asset base described accurately while the site keeps changing around it — new services run, penetrations opened for other trades, doors altered to suit a change of use.
Maintenance here means finding those changes and bringing the record back into line with what is actually installed, cycle after cycle.
