Steel Protection / Vermiculite Spray

Structural steel components typically need fire protection to maintain their structural integrity during a fire. As temperatures rise, steel can lose its strength, increasing the risk of a building’s collapse.

To mitigate this, steel elements can be protected with specialised fire-resistant boards or Vermiculite Spray. These products are designed to protect structural steel members with Regression data as per NCC & AS4100.

In cases where steel beams and supports cross through fire-resistant barriers, it’s crucial to seal these intersections properly to prevent fire spread with approved tested systems.
